Welcome to Colquhoun's Ice Cream and Subs, where our motto "Si Je Puis" (If I Can) isn't just a family crest—it's our promise to customers. What began with Gene watching YouTube videos to learn ice cream-making and creating our first flavor, Scottish Coffee Toffee, has grown into a passion for crafting unique frozen treats.
Gene left his career as a machinist and Tammy her job at Gowanda Electronics to pursue this sweet adventure full-time. Since opening our first shop in Conewango Valley in July 2021, we've created over 300 flavors—many inspired by customer requests. When asked if we can make a particular flavor, Gene's response is always, "If we can, we will."
Most days you'll find Tammy making delicious subs in the kitchen while Gene shares stories with customers. What started as a seasonal ice cream business expanded to include hearty subs, salads, soups and wraps to keep us going through winter months. Now our shop has become a community fixture where regulars stop by as much for the conversation as for our small-batch ice cream and fresh food.
